We wanted to answer the question once and for all which headset has the best noise canceling microphone and sound quality. Is it the Poly Voyager Focus 2, perhaps the Jabra Evolve2 75, the Orosound Tilde Pro, or Airpods? Well, we created a completely blind headset testing website and had all of you cast your votes giving us the information we were looking for.We compared the top 28 headsets from the brand:

• Jabra
• Discover
• Poly
• Orosound
• Yealink
• Shokz

And even Apple

Of course we added the ones we thought would do the best, but we also added some others like earbuds, bone conduction, and entry level options that we didn’t think would perform as well. We were extremely curious to see where each of these headsets would end up on the list.We recorded my voice on every headset on the same computer, in the same exact spot, with a separate computer playing the speaker audio at the same location and volume for every test.

It was more difficult than it seems as each recording needed to be exactly identical, and we did this for every noise category of:

• Office noises
• Dogs barking
• Kids playing
• Wind noise
• And even in a quiet environment to test sound quality.

Then we trimmed each clip to be exactly the same length, assigned them a random variable name to disguise each of the headsets, then we invited you all to vote.

The website would present 2 random headsets for a category, every time you voted a new random set would be generated. You could vote as little or as many times you wanted but most people voted about 5-10 times and we received over 7,000 votes giving us plenty of data to get statistically significant results. Not sure you can find this kind of information anywhere on the internet.
