Connect Plantronics Headset To Pc

Are you struggling to pair your Plantronics Bluetooth headset with your PC? Look no further! In this article, we will provide you with detailed instructions on how to connect your Plantronics headset to your PC effortlessly.

Getting Started

Before we dive into the pairing process, there are a few preliminary steps you need to follow:

  1. Enable Bluetooth: Make sure the Bluetooth feature on your PC is turned on.

  2. Enter Pairing Mode: Place your Plantronics headset in pairing mode. This allows your PC to detect and connect to the headset easily.

Now, let’s proceed with the specific instructions based on your Plantronics headset model.

Plantronics Explorer Series

If you own a headset from the Explorer series, follow these steps:

  1. Turn off the headset and press and hold the silver call control button for 6-10 seconds. The light will initially flash blue and then start flashing red and blue.

  2. Release the button and set the headset aside. Refer to your PC’s user guide for pairing instructions. If prompted for a passkey, enter 0000 (four zeros).

Plantronics Voyager Series

For headsets from the Voyager series, such as Voyager 520, 815, 835, and 855, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure the headset is powered off. Press and hold the power button for 5-6 seconds until the light starts flashing red and blue alternately.

  2. Release the button and proceed to follow the pairing instructions for your PC. If prompted for a passkey, use the default passkey: 0000.

Plantronics Discovery Series

If your headset belongs to the Discovery series (e.g., Discovery 610, 640, 645, 655, 665, 925, and 975), here’s what you need to do:

  1. Start with the headset turned off. Press and hold the silver call control button for 6-10 seconds. The light will flash blue, followed by red and blue.

  2. Release the button and set the headset aside. Now, refer to your PC’s pairing instructions. Note that some phones may not require a passkey, so don’t worry if you’re not prompted to enter one.

Other Plantronics Headsets

For other Plantronics headset models, such as the M100, M1100, or Backbeat 903, follow the steps below:

  1. Turn off the headset and press and hold the power button for 5-6 seconds until the light starts flashing red and blue alternately.

  2. Release the button and follow the pairing instructions provided by your PC. If asked for a passkey, use the default passkey: 0000.

Additional Tips for Older Models

If you own an older or discontinued Plantronics headset, try the following steps:

  • For the Plantronics 510 Voyager: Press and hold the call control button and simultaneously hold down the volume up button until the indicator light flashes red and blue.

  • For the Plantronics 655 and 665: Start with the headset turned off. Press and hold the silver call control button for 6-10 seconds. The light will initially flash blue and then start flashing red and blue.

  • For the Plantronics Pulsar 260: Begin with the pendant powered on. Press and hold both the mute/play/pause button and the power on/off/pairing button simultaneously. When the indicator light flashes red and blue, release the buttons. Follow your phone menu’s instructions to search for Bluetooth devices and select “260 Plantronics.” If prompted for a passkey, enter 0000.

Please note that some older models have unique pairing procedures, so consulting the corresponding user manual is recommended.

With these guidelines, you should be able to connect your Plantronics headset to your PC effortlessly!
