Jabra are well known for their quality headsets and the Evolve2 75 is no exception.

Unpacking

Coming in the Jabra branded & printed box with lots of information about the headset, basic instructions are printed on the inside upon opening. The headset itself comes in a soft fabric zip pouch to keep the headset when not in use or travelling – inside the pouch is also a small pouch for the USB dongle which can be handy if you travel a lot with your headset.

The headset

The Evolve2 75 Headset itself is a plain, but very smart design, the headband, and the ear cushions both have some nice, thick padding so they are amazingly comfortable to wear for extended periods. The microphone boom arm is foldable, so tucks away into a groove into the headset itself neatly and looks very discreet so is a nice feature if you’d like to use these as headphones when you’re not using them to take MS Teams calls.

Microsoft Teams Certified

Speaking of Microsoft Teams, the Jabra Evolve2 75 is Microsoft Teams Certified and allows you to press the Teams button on the headset to bring MS Teams to the front of Windows whenever you need to use it. You can also answer and end calls by raising or lowering the microphone.

Jabra direct software

With the freely downloadable Jabra Direct Software, you can further configure buttons and button states on the headset as well as configuring things like notification beeps, audio protection and noise cancelling levels. It is also possible to update the firmware on the headset itself should you need to using Jabra Direct.

Sound quality

Active Noise cancellation is exceptional – with an eight-microphone array on the earcups to detect and cancel out ambient noise. In our test with a loud television in the background that could not be heard by my colleague at all when making a call – these are a superb headset if you need confidence that only your voice will be heard when making important calls.

There is an optional charging stand so if you’d like to keep your headset sitting on your desk fully charged when not in use, there is that choice, however this does cost extra.
